Whilst we sell an awful lot of the stone resin low level 45mm shower trays, we also have seen an increase in demand for the Coram Coratech range of trays just recently.
Coram Coratech Riser Shower Trays are what is known as an 'easy-plumb' shower tray. This is due to the tray coming complete with legs & panels which allow the fitter to raise the tray above the floor level. This enables the plumber to have easy access to the waste pipe & trap, and may allow them to create more of a 'fall' to allow waste water to escape. This method is generally a simpler and quicker way to install a shower tray, and provides easy access via the front panel to the trap - ideal should you suffer a blockage or other flow problem. The only downside is that you create a step-up into the shower enclosure.
Some installations such as ground floor installations where the floor is concrete, are ideal for a riser shower tray such as the Coratech riser tray. It will save the fitters having to channel into the concrete floor, and will therefore save a great deal of time and money. Coram Coratech shower trays also benefit from small up stands on the edges that are designed to make the enclosure even more waterproof, although this is considered a 'belt and braces' approach by most bathroom fitters and plumbers.
